I like to describe myself as a meteorologist with a picture taking problem. While I spend most days doing research on thunderstorms, every chance I get I'm out shooting, enjoying a chance to appreciate the world through my camera lens.
As the contents of my galleries would suggest, I primarily shoot aviation and outdoor/landscape photography. Since I was a child I have a had a strong interest in airplanes, going to air shows or even just hanging out at the local airport. This interest has spilled over into my photography as I find planes can make very dramatic and challenging subjects to shoot, be it flying through the air or just sitting on the tarmac. Likewise, I like to spend as much time as I can outside hiking and camping, and the natural world provides endless inspiration and opportunity for picture taking.
